Can I use rechargeable batteries or my own batteries?
Updated on 15/8/2023
The lithium thionyl chloride batteries in our smartlocks have been extensively tested and optimised specifically for our 5G IoT smartlocks. They are long lasting batteries and last around 1.5- 2 years (av. 2-4 activiations a day). If used less often they last even longer.
Our smartlocks work with rechargeable batteries and non-rechargable batteries. We include rechargable batteries with our smartlock, but if you want to use non-rechargable batteries (which last about 25%-50% more than the rechargable batteries, and are more appropriate for low use applications) please tell us when you place your order.
